Mealtime with Jonathan

I am so happy and proud of Jonathan tonight. He sat with us for a one and a half hour long dinner without making much fuss. Another motor skill which he has learnt, picking up his food using a fork and spoon. *Smiles*

Weekend Shopping - Ximending

This is the first relaxing sight-seeing cum shopping trip 30 days after our arrival in Taipei. For the past few weeks, I have been busy unpacking, taking care of the kids, settling Justin's school matters, doing housework. Now who says that I am enjoying Tai Tai life? Hard work 24/7. All this would have been even more nerve wrecking without the help of my mother-in-law.

We set out after lunch on a great sunny Sunday to Ximending on a bus.

Ximending seems like mini-Tokyo with shops lined with Japanese inspired youth fashion. The streets are lined with shops selling clothes, shoes, Hello Kitty memorabilia, manga, costumes etc. Streets connect from the centre outwards, thronged with lots of people especially youngsters.

So the light reflectors on the stroller and Justin's jacket works!!!

As we were walking around looking for a place to have dinner, we spotted something interesting on the second floor of the shop house.

Customers in a restaurant having dinner on a swing! Justin immediately grinned cheekily when he saw that. No no. We were not going to tolerate stained shirt with him eating and balancing on a swing. So we told him that we will visit that place another time.

Looking forward to another weekend trip! Until then, ciao!
